Clare Cushing
AGSM
Clare studied oboe and piano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After a post-graduate year of orchestral studies she took up the position of Assistant Principal oboe in the SNO. She remained in this position until 2003, when two young boys and a yearning to be more involved in music education meant she decided to venture into the free-lance world. She is currently involved in a range of educational work with NYOS and is a staff member of the NYCOS Stirling children's choir as well as a NYCOS mini music maker group leader. She also works with the whole range of primary aged children through Stirling Council's YMI-funded Kodaly programme.
- If I was an animal I'd like to be a tortoise

Clare teaches creative music classes for preschool and for children with special needs, as well as the oboe.
