Practice-a-thon 2011
We are delighted to announce that pupils from Portobello Music School and our host school Towerbank Primary School will join forces to take part in a two-week Practice-a-thon from 14th to 27th November 2011 to raise money for CLIC Sargent, the children's cancer charity.
75% of the total funds raised will go to CLIC Sargent to help with their wonderful work in supporting children with cancer. The other 25%, which CLIC Sargent allow us to keep for our own cause will be matched by Portobello Music School and donated to our host school, Towerbank Primary School to contribute towards a wonderful new 30-piece Samba Kit which will enable the school to create its own afterschool Samba Band for the benefit of Towerbank Primary School pupils.
