Violin classes at Portobello Music School

Violin

Violin classes are offered to children in Primary 3 and upward. The classes are taught in small groups and aim to establish musical understanding and good habits from the very beginning. Pupils will be expected to practice their instrument for 10-15 minutes at least four times per week. After studying for one year, children will be encouraged to join one of our ensembles and after two years, will be offered individual instruction. We recommend that all children learning instruments attend one of our choirs and to make it more affordable, we offer a 40% reduction off choir fees.
