Choir and solo singing

Junior Choirs at Portobello Music School

Choir

Choirs offer excellent general musical training, regardless of the child’s musical background and ability. It is an invaluable part of a child’s musical development and helps to develop general musicianship skills relevant to all musical instruments. Through learning songs from a variety of musical genres and countries, pupils will develop their skills in ensemble singing, with opportunities for solo performance throughout the year. Classes will cover simple part-singing, sight-singing and introduce the basics of music theory, following the National Youth Choir of Scotland Go-For-Bronze 1 syllabus. We recommend that all children learning instruments attend our Junior Choir and to make it more affordable, we offer a reduction off choir fees.

Meet your teacher Katri and check availability for Saturday.
